The WA Local Government Convention 2017 was a great success, with around 500 delegates in attendance along with a 106 exhibitors at the Trade Exhibition.
The Convention program featured a number of outstanding speakers, with Convention Keynote speaker, Dr Ernesto Sirolli. Former Lord Mayor of Adelaide, Stephen Yarwood, spoke about innovation in urban development and a Panel discussion, featuring Liam Bartlett, Paul Murray, Jessica Strutt and moderator Verity Hames, touched on issues in State and Federal politics.
Former Dockers Captain, Matthew Pavlich, spoke at the Convention breakfast and focused success and failures that built his career.
The Convention concluded on Friday with an outstanding presentation from Idris Mootee who spoke on design thinking and innovation, and how to execute them.
There were many presentations and opportunities for networking and learning throughout, with the spirit of goodwill and generosity in Local Government shown to be alive and well.
