Experts from a number of organisations including the City of Stirling, Department of Parks and Wildlife, Department of Agriculture and Food WA and the University of Western Australia will discuss current and emerging feral animal control issues and management techniques. Information presented will be relevant to both urban and regional areas of Western Australia.

The program will include:
•    an overview of the legal and governance aspects of feral animal control
•    the expanding distribution of wild dogs into peri-urban areas
•    use of thermal imagery to locate and manage feral pigs
•    biological control of rabbits using new virus strains
•    management of nesting hollow occupancy by feral bees
•    Local Government collaboration on corella control
•    recent developments in DPaW’s Western Shield Program, and
•    involving the community and adjacent landholders to enable a regional approach.
