Professionally Speaking

Professionally Speaking

Being able to stay “on message” when dealing with communication minefields like media interviews, hostile public meetings – or even disciplining staff is no longer an optional skill. It’s a must for the modern professional.

Professionally Speaking is an interactive workshop specifically designed to get participants ‘battle-ready’ and offers practical techniques for handling unfamiliar public speaking situations with confidence and aplomb. While the focus of the session is on demystifying the media and getting the best result from every public opportunity, these skills can also be effectively used in other business settings.

Target Audience

Suitable for Elected Members who would like to increase their knowledge and understanding of their role within Local Government.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of completing this program, participants should emerge with the essential skills and knowledge to handle a media interview/business or public meeting - especially those that are adversarial in nature. Each participant recieves individual assessment and feedback about their interview style.
