Heritage Loan Subsidy Scheme (HLSS)
The Heritage Loan Subsidy Scheme has been established to encourage owners of heritage places to undertake conservation works by offering significant savings in the cost of a loan. This partnership between WALGA and the Heritage Council of WA reflects a need to invest in the long term future of the State's local heritage and rich cultural history. To be eligible, properties must be located within a participating Local Government area.

Disability Access & Inclusion Plan Grants
The Association, in partnership with the Disability Services Commission (DSC), have adjudicated the final round of the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan Grants (DAIPs) 2007. These funding grants have provided local governments with the opportunity to develop and implement inclusive projects and initiatives for people with disabilities throughout the community.
$280,000 in funding was made available for this final round and 21 applications were received with a total of $278,903 allocated across WA. The Association would to thank the Commission for the opportunity to work collaboratively with the coordination of these funding grants which have to date had direct and substantial benefits to the local governments who have participated.
