WHAT IS ROMAN II?

ROMAN II is the name being used to collectively describe the software and support package which has been put together by the ARRB Group to replace the old ROMAN I software.   The package has been provided in response to a Request for Proposal by the Western Australian Local Government Association.  It has been selected as the preferred replacement option by WALGA after a rigorous assessment process.

ROMAN II includes two different software packages, and a range of support services, training, implementation plan, quality control, access to expertise and data management.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN ROMAN II?

ROMAN II includes the following components

• The RAMM road asset management software by CJN Technologies.
• The dTIMS asset deterioration modelling software by Deighton Associates.
• Customisation of both software systems to suit Western Australian needs
• Access to latest deterioration models customised to your region
• Access to additional support services such as pocket RAMM and RAMM contractor
• Help and user support desk
• Access to user support groups
• Training services
• Secure data storage and back up
• Ongoing software development and improvement
• Improved interface with Main Roads data centre (IRIS)

RAMM SOFTWARE

At the heart of the ROMAN II package is the RAMM road asset management software package as developed by CJN Technologies Limited.  RAMM is the road asset management software currently utilised by all New Zealand Road Management Authorities, including Transit New Zealand.
