LG Capacity Survey Report

In 2005/06 Local Governments participating in the South West Biodiversity Project undertook a survey to assess their capacity to conserve biodiversity. This 'snapshot' of Local Government is aimed to help SWBP coordinate and increase the awareness of biodiversity planning, management and conservation in Local Governments in the South West. It is hoped that this report will highlight significant biodiversity issues as they relate to 'day to day' Local Government business. This published report is a summary of the general survey findings, with each Local Government having recieved personalised reports specific to their Local Government area.
