Natural Area Initial Assessment Templates

Up one level

The Natural Area Initial Assessment (NAIA) templates were developed by the Perth Biodiversity Project for the ecological assessment of natural areas. The Desktop, Field and Summary templates can be used to assess site-specific ecological values, biodiversity significance and threatening processes for natural areas, at a level that is consistent with regional scientific standards. The Perth Biodiversity Project is also developing a database to collate information collected using the NAIA templates. The database is expected to be launched in 2005/2006.

NAIA Template Limitations
This document should be read in conjunction with the Natural Area Initial Assessment (NAIA) templates. There are limitations with the templates that should be considered when using for ecological assessments in the South West Biodiversity Project area. For further information please call the SWBP Technical Officer Jodie Wood on 9780 7083.
NAIA database
The NAIA database will enable collation of information on natural areas.
