Discussion Paper Guideline

This guide is provided by the South West Biodiversity Project (SWBP) and Perth Biodiversity Project (PBP). It has been created to indicate the type of material that might be included in your discussion paper leading to a Local Biodiversity Strategy. It is not intended to be prescriptive, as there are many options for presenting the material. This guide has drawn on discussion papers and draft discussion papers written for the Shire of Margaret River (Shire of Augusta-Margaret River 2005), City of Swan (City of Swan 2005) City of Wanneroo (Del Marco 2006) and Town of Kwinana (Del Marco 2007). Andrew Del Marco of Ironbark Environmental and Sustainable Development (delmarco@iinet.net.au) has developed the two draft discussion papers for Wanneroo and Kwinana according to the Local Government Biodiversity Planning Guidelines and can provide you with more information on those specific discussion papers.
