SSS TaskForce

Up one level

The Systemic Sustainability Study Taskforce has been established in response to the SSS Panel’s research into the sustainability of Local Government and the recommendations of their final report. The Taskforce has been established as part of an engagement process enabling industry consideration of the report and its recommendations, leading towards an industry wide action plan. Taskforce Bulletins form part of a strategy to ensure regular and comprehensive communications are undertaken with Local Government members and other interested parties on the progress of the Taskforce in addressing sustainability issues in the sector. The Taskforce undertook deliberations on the recommendations between February and April 2007; followed by an industry forum in April; and engagement with the sector between April and December with a Draft Report released to the sector in February 2008. Feedback on the Draft Report closed on 16 June, with the revised Final Report to be put forward in August 2008.
