Expressions of Interest are open for Local Governments and community organisations to apply for funding for projects designed to calm traffic on local roads in urban areas across WA.

Funded from the State Road Funds to Local Government Agreement and administered by Town Team Movement in partnership with the State Government and WALGA, the Streets Alive program provides $5 million over five years for capacity building and support for initiatives and community-led activations that help make local streets safer.

There are two streams of funding available:

Stream 1: Offers seed grants of $5,000 with expressions of interest open from 9 April; and

Stream 2: Offers grants of $50,000 and $100,000 with more information to be released in May.
